4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Ham Sliders
These easy slow cooker ham sliders are a delicious option for busy weeknights, game days, potlucks, and casual gatherings. Shaved deli ham is slowly warmed in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce made with brown sugar and Dijon mustard, creating a tender, flavorful filling that’s ready with very little effort.
Ingredients
– 2 pounds shaved deli ham
– 1 cup barbecue sauce
– ½ cup packed brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 16 slider buns
Instructions
1. Add the Ham
Place the shaved deli ham into the slow cooker.
Gently separate the slices with your hands so the ham isn’t packed tightly together. This allows the sauce to coat the meat more evenly.
2. Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
Stir until the mixture is smooth and the ingredients are well combined.
3. Combine Everything
Pour the barbecue mixture evenly over the shaved ham.
Gently stir or toss the ham so that the sauce coats as much of it as possible.
4. Slow Cook
Cover the slow cooker with the lid.
Cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, stirring once or twice if convenient.
The ham should be thoroughly heated and completely coated in the sweet, tangy sauce.
5. Assemble the Sliders
Once the ham is hot and flavorful, give it one final stir.
Spoon the saucy ham onto the slider buns and serve while warm.
Cheesy Ham Sliders
For an extra-indulgent version, add a slice of Swiss, provolone, or cheddar cheese to each slider.
For nicely melted cheese, place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and warm them briefly in the oven until the cheese melts.
Make the Sauce Sweeter
If you prefer a sweeter flavor, use a honey barbecue sauce instead of regular barbecue sauce.
